Welcome to my blog!

Hi, I’m Dexter.

Dexter’s Digest is where I write things as they come.

No fixed niche, no pressure to fit into one box—just a mix of experiences, thoughts, and moments that felt worth putting into words. Some days it’s about travel, other days it’s music, money, or just something that stuck with me longer than usual.

Over the years, I’ve spent a good amount of time working on different cruise ships—starting with casino ships like Amusement World and Leisure World around Singapore and Malaysia, where everything felt fast-paced and always moving. Later on, I found myself sailing across the South Pacific on Paul Gauguin, a completely different kind of experience—quieter, more remote, and something you don’t easily forget.

I also spent time on ships like Black Watch, Boudicca, and Balmoral with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, traveling through Europe, the Caribbean, the US, and even on longer voyages around the world. I’m currently onboard Balmoral, and in some way, this blog has become a place to keep track of it all.

I started writing as a way to slow things down a bit. Life moves fast, and it’s easy to let moments pass without really noticing them. Writing became a way to hold on to those moments—not just where I’ve been, but how things felt at the time.

You won’t find anything overly polished here. Most of what I write is simple, honest, and straight to the point. Just real experiences, shared as they are.

If something here makes sense to you, then that’s more than enough.

Thanks for being here.
